Pomodoro Reading Tracker does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
The app keeps a per-day record of your reading: which days you completed a focus session, how many sessions and how many minutes you read each day, and your daily reading goal. If you choose to write reading notes (an optional per-week text note you can add while reading), those notes are saved as well. All of this — dates, session and minute counts, your goal, and any notes you write — is stored entirely on your device, using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData) inside your device's private app storage area. Your notes never leave your device and are never sent to the developer or anyone else.
The Home Screen widget reads this same on-device data (via an iOS App Group container) so it can show your streak and let you start, pause, and resume a session without opening the app. This sharing happens only between the app and its own widget, entirely on your device — nothing leaves it.
If you allow notifications, the app schedules a local reminder on your device when a focus or break session ends. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on-device and are not routed through any external service.
Since all data is stored locally, deleting the app from your device permanently deletes all of its data. There is no server-side copy to separately request deletion of. You can also delete individual weekly notes from within the app at any time.
If this policy changes, the update date above will change accordingly.
